I took inspiration for this painting from a photo that I took. I chose the colours that I wanted to use and painted the flowers quite child-like in a way that they looked like they were blowing in the breeze.

Hibiscus, 3D effect Abstract
This is a very colourful painting. It is painted onto heavy 300gm watercolour paper. It is an abstract painting. I blended and softened the background to make it look blurry, to enhance the flower. It makes the flower look like it is coming forward out of the painting.

Happy Sunflower

Poppy Run
I designed this piece by using a combination of Brusho crystals and watercolour paint. Brusho is a powder like medium that can be sprinkled onto wet paint to create various effects. I like to use it just like a watercolour mixture too, for its brightness in colour. I added lots of water whilst I was painting, and watched the paint do its own thing. I was happy with the finished piece, as it is simplistic in form, yet intriguing to view.
